Galapagos Fishing

Striped Marlin Fishing in the Galápagos

Striped Marlin are a prized catch in the Galápagos, known for their speed and acrobatics. These predators thrive in offshore waters, making trolling with live bait or lures an effective technique. Peak season runs from December to May, offering anglers thrilling battles in one of the most biodiverse fishing grounds on Earth.

Blue Marlin Fishing in the Galápagos

The Galápagos is home to massive Blue Marlin, some exceeding 500 lbs. These deep-sea giants require heavy tackle and strategic trolling. The waters around seamounts and drop-offs provide prime conditions for landing a true trophy fish.

Black Marlin Fishing in the Galápagos

Black Marlin are among the rarest and most powerful sportfish. Their explosive strikes and relentless fights demand skill and patience. Found in deeper waters, they are best targeted using large baitfish and trolling techniques.

Yellowfin Tuna Fishing in the Galápagos

Yellowfin Tuna are a staple of Galápagos fishing, known for their speed and strength. Found year-round, they respond well to trolling, popping, and jigging. These fish provide both a thrilling fight and a delicious reward for anglers.

Mahi Mahi (Dorado) Fishing in the Galápagos

Mahi Mahi are abundant in the Galápagos, especially in warm waters. Their vibrant colors and aerial acrobatics make them a favorite among anglers. Trolling with small lures or live bait near floating debris is the best way to land these fast-moving fish.

Wahoo Fishing in the Galápagos

Wahoo are lightning-fast predators, making them a top target for thrill-seekers. Their razor-sharp teeth and high-speed runs require precise trolling with fast-moving lures. Found in both inshore and offshore waters, they provide an unforgettable challenge.
