  • After I fly Into Guayaquil, Ecuador, then what?

After flying into Guayaquil, you will be picked up from the airport by someone holding a sign reading “Blue Galapagos”. They will have a list of your names to be confirmed attendees. After, you will be taken directly to your hotel. You won’t have to worry about navigating on your own.

  • Do I need any immunizations before traveling to the Galapagos Islands?

There are no specific immunizations required when traveling to the Galapagos Islands. However, we recommend you consult with a medical professional prior to your trip.

  • Is there phone reception and internet on the islands?

Due to the remote nature of the islands, both internet and phone reception can be spotty. You can certainly make calls and get onto the internet but expect load times to be a lot slower than usual. We recommend reaching out to your cell phone carrier prior to your trip to see what your options for coverage will be.

  • How can I make sure I am ready for the more physical activities on this trip?

We strongly recommend that you check-in with your doctor regarding the status of your cardiovascular health before this trip. Light cardiovascular exercise in preparation for this trip could go a long way to ensuring that you will enjoy all itinerary activities to the fullest. We also recommend that you discuss with your doctor any concerns regarding travel to South America that could be affected by the change in diet, physical demand, and proximity to the equator.

  • When is the best time to visit?

One of the many things that make the Galapagos archipelago the “enchanted Islands” is the fact that that you can visit year-round and still get to experience the magic of biodiversity no matter when you choose to go. The entire archipelago lies on the equator and so the temperature does not vary much month-to-month except for wet/dry seasons.

  • Cancellation policy?

In order to ensure that we can successfully carry out all itinerary activities, we make reservations with guides, destination sites, and transportation carriers prior to your trip dates, which requires payment in advance. This means that the closer we get to the trip date, the less likely we are able to cancel those activities we have already reserved.
